Thanks for helping us beta test AudioTheme!
We have been building AudioTheme 2.0 over the past few months and running it on our own demos to iron out any kinks. We tried our best to ensure we don’t break backward compatibility, however, the new version includes significant changes to the codebase, so if you’re comfortable upgrading to beta software and know how to back up your site, we would appreciate your help!
Among the new features are:
- A redesigned gig and venue management experience
- Support for Google Maps API Keys (Google started requiring these recently)
- Unused modules can be disabled (Gigs, Discography, and Videos menu items in the admin panel)
- Improved thumbnails for YouTube videos
- JSON-LD support for gigs for better SEO
- Improved experience editing tracks
If you would like to help test, you can download an early release below. When we release the final version, you will receive a notice to update automatically if you have the AudioTheme Agent connected.
Before continuing, please back up your site! BackUpWordPress and Backup Buddy are good options, or check to see what your host has to offer if you’re not sure how to back up your site.
To upgrade, you’ll need to deactivate and uninstall your current version of AudioTheme — you won’t lose any content when removing the plugin. Then download and install the new version.
